All the years of this site, one thing was always the goal - to make a difference in the lives of others. I may or may not have known the struggles and life battles of those involved, I may or may not have known of broken homes and/or other emptiness, bullying or otherwise simply feeling left out; but, if I can make a difference for even simply a moment in time, it's worth every minute of mine and ever dollar spent or not. That said, when I see something of inspiration, I wish to share. In Rememberance

Without everybody who has been photographed, visited, or even knows of skunkboy.net, the site wouldn't be where it is today. Everybody, no matter how big or small in the overall picture, really does have a part in making this site the success it has become. For that, thank you.
Likewise though, skunkboy.net is a family of its own. Unfortunately, as with all families, tragedy does strike at times; skunkboy.net is not immune either. Bones have been broken, people have decided to leave the sport for various reasons, and unfortunately, some people are no longer with us. Nevertheless, though those people may not be with us now in the physical world, they are still in our memories and will always be part of what has made this site what it is today.

The life of Nathan Alan Westphal of Kasson, Minnesota, a skateboarder who became a part of this site in the summer of 2005, passed away Friday, April 7th, 2006 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident between his van and a semi. Regardless of details, the one thing that stands true is that he had touched the lives of so many.

Jeremy Allen Suntken of Red Wing, Minnesota, snowboarder (& skateboarder though we never had the chance to photograph), passed away while at a skatepark doing some of what he enjoyed doing best. It's said that myocarditis, inflammation of the myocardium - the muscular tissue of the heart, was the cause of his passing.
